Discover the perfect natural playground at Hundred Acre Wood in Wickham

The fantastic ‘natural playground’ in Wickham’s Hundred Acre Wood is definitely a very superior playground and somewhere we love to go for some free family fun. Created as part of a lottery funded scheme run by Winchester City Council and the Forestry Commission, it’s largely constructed from wood and other natural materials and boasts tree houses, teepees, sandpits, forts and other such things to clamber over and hide within.

It’s a great place to meet friends and make a day of it. The surrounding area offers a lovely selection of picnic spots as well as climbing equipment for older children and acres of forest to walk and cycle in.

TiYK Top Tip! The ‘natural playground’ is located next to the car park at the Hundred Acre Wood entrance to the forest. Entrance is free though there is a small charge for parking.
